Random Thoughts: Happy Thanksgiving

It's been raining all day today. Etta DOES NOT like having to go outside when the weather is like this. LOL! She'll go outside but she scrunches up her little face and she rushes to get her business done. She's such a funny little girl. Yesterday Mike and I stayed home and made pies. It was pretty fun. We made three pies (pictured below) and I'm not going to lie - we each had a piece yesterday. They were delicious. Today is the big dinner and we're making a 22lb turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies, buns - the works. As I type, the lovely smell of turkey has begun to fill the house. I am grateful that my kids still live close to me and will be joining us for dinner tonight. It strikes me as funny that I know so many people that don't cook. Where I grew up, men had to be able to fix anything and the women had to be able to cook. Now I know that this is old fashioned but that was the way it was. I am sure glad that I was raised by a mom who could cook and taught me how. I insist on making the stuffing and gravy from scratch. It just tastes better. Don't you think?

Up Next

Next up, Oct 11th, Ryan7 is performing a private event. Then we are performing on October 15th for the cocktail hour and over dinner at the Colombo Lodge for their Seafood Extravaganza. After we finish, they have more entertainment. They are sold out!! Then October 22nd, we are performing at Chances from 8pm to 11pm. This is our only performance at Chances in 2016 so make sure that you make time to come out. Then October 29th we will be performing for the Merritt Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
Looking for Christmas Parties

Mike and I are looking to play Christmas Parties. We can do a dance - we have over 300 songs and are always adding more. We can do quieter shows - jazz or Christmas songs if you wish. We can do singalongs. House concerts. We are very flexible. We are also looking for a New Year's Eve gig and are available to travel. :)

Also, we are once again performing at the Fireman's Ball at Sun Peaks On November 19th. This event sold out last year so get your tickets asap. We play the cocktail hour as Ryan7 and then we launch full band for dancing after dinner. We've learned a ton of new songs for this event so come out and check us out.

Take Care,
Sabrina xoxo
