December Newsletter

Hi there lovelies,

I’m so excited that the Christmas season is here.  I love Christmas. I especially love giving gifts.  I’ve already completed my Christmas shopping.  Gift giving to me is that opportunity to spend some time thinking about your family and friends fondly, imagining all the things you’ve done together, trying to mine those memories for possible gifts.  It puts our loved ones in a positive light and I believe that it brings you closer, strengthening those bonds.  I love to surf the net or wander through stores with a particular person in mind and then I imagine their faces Christmas morning as they open the gift that I gave.  It fills my heart with love and this beautiful feeling lingers throughout my days.  I just love Christmas.

My December is just full of awesomeness.  I’m working in the tasting room at Privato most days from 10am to 2pm until December 17th.  Privato actually becomes the Woodward Christmas Tree Fam in December and the whole place comes alive with Christmas cheer.  You must come up for a tasting, to grab your Christmas wine, or to cut down your own fresh tree. Weekends are best as they have a huge bon fire, wagon rides, Christmas songs, a concession stand featuring smokies from Gary’s Deli, and mulled wine.  Yum!! I love wine. J  They are having this amazing open house 25th anniversary celebration this Saturday and Sunday.  I’m in the tasting room on Sunday.  For more info, click HERE.

I also have many shows over the holidays.  Today, we are playing at the Vernon Jazz Club.  This is a great venue and Steve Soucy is joining Mike, Ed, Neil and I on piano.  Get tickets HERE.   We are also performing at several private Christmas parties, the Chamber luncheon, The City Christmas luncheon, and again at Cascades December 18th and 19th.

I know that Christmas isn’t always a positive experience for everyone. In fact, it’s often overwhelmingly sad.  This year, we are part of “A Night to Remember: A Christmas Memorial Service” hosted by Schoenings Funeral Services.  This will be an evening to gather in honour of your loved ones past.  There will be an inspiring speaker, a candle light ceremony, and beautiful Christmas music.  The dates for Kamloops are December 7th at First Memorial Funeral Services and December 10th at Schoenings Funeral Services and in Merritt on December 11th  at Merritt Funeral Chapel.  I’m not sure of the times yet, but I’ll keep you posted. Contact me at if you’d like more info.

A Tribute to the Queen of the Blues

So, I know you’ve been sleepless with anticipation since my last newsletter.  LOL!  Well, I am excited and honoured to announce that I am performing again in Toronto as part of the Etta James Tribute.  It’s February 5th at Hugh’s Room.  You can get tickets HERE.

The Kamloops Food BankMike and I will be offering an intimate evening of performance “The Beauty of Christmas” in our home December 17th.  The tickets are $25 each and all the proceeds are being donated to the Kamloops Food Bank. Because of the size of our home, I am only selling 15 tickets.  Please bring your own version of Christmas cheer as well as a small appy plate to share.  Please RSVP to for tickets.
